Some official guides you might find useful Providing a link to a private repository will result in an error. Please make sure that the visibility of your GitHub repository is Public if you’d like to share it on Hyperskill. Sharing a link to your repository on HyperskillĮvery time you complete your project, you will be prompted to publish your work on GitHub and share the link on Hyperskill. Once you have created the repository, you can proceed with the further steps in the instruction. Please make sure to provide the path to the files that are relevant to your project and contain your code. Please note, if you receive a warning message when you click on File > Add Local Repository, you can safely proceed and choose to create a repository as the message suggests. GitHub has comprehensive instructions explaining how to add an existing project to GitHub with its desktop application. To install a separate application, please follow the instructions on the GitHub Desktop installation page. GitHub Desktop was created as a user-frie ndly GUI application to interact with GitHub as opposed to working with the command line. Overall, in all IDEs you can open your project folder right away: simply right-click on the folder with your code in the Project Panel and choose Open in Finder if you are using Mac OS or Open in Explorer for Windows. ~/PycharmProjects/ProjectName/ProjectName/task/ ![]() ![]() With Pycharm, your project path should look like the following: As with other JetBrains IDEs, in P圜harm you can also check the full path by clicking on Copy path/reference. If you are following one of the Python tracks, the folder with your code can be found in the task directory. ~//ProjectName/ProjectName/task/src/ProjectName In general, you can expect the path to your project to look like in the example: By right-clicking on this folder and choosing Copy path/reference, you can copy the full path on your computer. If you are working in IntelliJ IDEA or WebStorm, you will find project files in the src folder, in Android Studio they can be found within src/main/. If you are using IDE to complete Hyperskill projects, you can find the structure of your project in the Project panel on the left (don’t forget to switch to the Project view as shown on the screenshot below). ![]()
