First off, they operate by iPad, which is a feature I really appreciate in AYCE places. we received our first round of food in less than 10 minutes - so the service is SUPER fast. They have a lot of variety as well (sashimi, nigiri, rolls, hand rolls, teriyaki, tempura, calamari, fried and soup noodles, lots of ice cream variety, etc.) which was great! One thing I found a bit weird was the addition of lettuce in all the maki rolls, which I just haven't seen anywhere else and wasn't the biggest fan of. I also found it interesting that they would bunch 3 - 4 different orders (noodles, beef, etc.) on the same plate, which would get awkward when trying to share with a large group of people because we would all be reaching over each other, and the food would end up mixing (which I personally didn't care about, but I can see why some people would find it odd). The quality of the food isn't amazing by any means, but it's not bad either and for an AYCE place, I honestly couldn't complain. This was one of the worse sushi restaurants I have ever been too. The food was not fresh (some of the rolls also had uncooked riced while the salad was brown in color). The salmon and shrimp was also pale brown in colour while meat. When tasting these items, it tasted old and a hinted taste of being frozen and reheated. The food was also poorly presented (mixing rolls with meat on the same plate). Only positive note: They has sorbet as an option for ice cream. The most saddening part of the whole experience was the service. The females seemed quite stressed (even though it was not full and restaurant is very small- approx 7 tables and 3-4 booths) and would not acknowledge our presence (no eye contact, no smiles). While the male was very unprofessional (when delivering food he would throw it on the table appearing to be very upset- two separate times food fell off the plate and on the table). When thinking this may only be occurring to us, I made eye contact with the people sitting next to us. They shared they were yelled at earlier when asking for more ginger (male server said: “you want more!”). I would strongly recommend people to *not* go to this restaurant.
